Being photographed at your wedding shouldn’t feel like another job on the list. Here’s how it goes, from the first email to the gallery landing in your inbox.
No long shot lists and no hour of stiff portraits.
01 Before
We start with a call. Tell me about the two of you, the plan for the day, who’s coming and what you’d hate to miss. By the time the wedding comes around we’ve talked enough that I’m not a stranger with a camera.
02 The day
On the day I mostly hang back and watch. I’ll step in now and then, to move you into better light or get the family photos done quickly, and then I disappear again. You shouldn’t have to think about me much.
03 After
You’ll get a first look within 24 hours. Then I go through everything and edit the digital and film frames so they sit together properly. The full gallery follows in 4–6 weeks, online and ready to share, download and print.
How it feels
Mostly, you forget I’m there.
Couples tell me afterwards that they stopped noticing the camera somewhere in the first hour. That’s the point.
It’s the same on a mountain in Whistler, in a Summerland vineyard or at a city wedding in Vancouver. I want you to look at the photos and remember how the day felt, not how long you spent posing.
